Type 1

Because of high efficiency, coordinated metal oxide varistor (MOV) type 1/class I surge arresters are ideally suited for installation in the main distribution board of low-voltage consumer's installations.

Type 1+2

Lightning current combination arrester, type 1+2 and discharge capacity up to 100 kA (10/350 µs).

Type 2

Type 2 surge protectors are designed to be installed at the service entrance of low voltage systems or close to sensitive equipment to protect against transient over voltages.

Type 3

Type 3 are intended to be installed near sensitive equipment, in coordination with Type 2 arrester installation head.
